Welcome

Three drops to set up. Then two numbers a month.

This month's numbers

Two balances from your statements or your brokerage login, once a month. No upload needed.

Set up · once

Four steps.

1
Your plan

Drop the Income Plan PDF from your coach, or enter the plan numbers by hand.

2
Your accounts

Give each account its holdings. Drop a file on the line, or type them in. Each line says which file works best for that kind of account.

3
Your cash reserve

The cash your monthly check is paid from. The desk watches it and tells you when to sell to refill it.

Where is your paycheck paid from?

How much cash do you want to keep?

Measured in months of what the portfolio has to supply. A refill sells investments to bring the reserve back up.

How often do you want to refill?
Dividends and interest paid out as cash (optional)

If your funds pay dividends or interest into the money market instead of reinvesting, enter the yearly total. The desk then needs to sell that much less.

4
Done

Home now shows your reserve in months and what to do next. Once a month it asks for two balances: the total of all your accounts, and the cash in your paycheck account.

This year, outside the plan

Income Lab already counts your pension, Social Security and the planned withdrawals. Add only what happened outside the plan this year, so the tax estimate is right. Estimates for deciding what to sell, not for filing.

A property or business sale, after any exclusion. Gains the desk itself realized are already counted.
Losses realized outside these accounts plus any carryforward from last year's return (Schedule D, line 16). The desk treats these as long-term losses.
Wages, consulting, a one-time payout. Leave at 0 if the plan covers everything.

Target portfolio

Where the portfolio is heading.

Set the mix you want and the funds you want to own. The desk works out how to get there: tax-free moves inside IRAs right away, taxable sales paced by the room you have for gains each year. Every refill sells from the move-out list first.

1. The mix you want

Asset classYou hold nowTargetGapDrift

Drift band: ± points. The desk only trades a class that sits outside the band. The gauge shows how far each class sits from its target line; the shaded stretch is the band.

Where each class lives

The mix above is for the whole household. Each account can lean toward the classes that belong there: bonds and REITs in the IRA, stock funds in taxable and Roth.

2. The funds you want to own

One fund per class is plenty. Say which kind of account each belongs in: bonds and REITs in the IRA, broad stock funds in taxable and Roth.

3. What you hold: keep or move out

Anything that is not on your fund list is marked "move out". Change any of them. Holdings on the do-not-sell list stay put.

Checklist
    Update your holdings first

Prices change between refills. Drop a fresh statement or positions download for an account and the desk swaps in the new positions before it picks what to sell. Your do-not-sell marks stay.

Drop a statement or a positions download here, or

Read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Example data loaded. Nothing here is saved to your account.

    Portfolio Desk

Your paycheck, funded from your portfolio.

An account, a passcode, and you're in.

Encrypted with a passcode only you know. Privacy and security

    Step one of two

    Create your account

Signs your devices in. The passcode comes next.

    Welcome back

Your account password signs this device in. Your passcode unlocks the desk afterwards.

    Step two of two

    Choose a 6-digit passcode

Encrypts your desk. No reset without the recovery code you'll get next.

    Save this now

    Your recovery code

The only way back in if you forget your passcode. Keep it with your important papers.

    Retire.

    Enter your passcode.

Your desk is encrypted on this device.

    Reset your passcode

    Enter your recovery code

The code you saved when you turned on encryption.

Lost the recovery code too? The desk cannot be opened without one of the two. and ask your coach for a new desk.

    Privacy and security

Only you can read your desk.

    What the desk holds

The numbers from your income plan, your accounts, your holdings and tax lots, and the settings you choose. Your email address, for signing in. That is all.

    Where it lives

On your device, encrypted. A copy of that same encrypted file sits in your account so your phone and computer stay in step. Nobody at Corso Wealth, and nobody at the companies that host the desk, can open it. There is no key on any server.

    How it is locked

Your desk is sealed with AES-256 encryption. The key is protected by your six-digit passcode, which is stretched 600,000 rounds before it is used, and by a recovery code shown once when you set up. The passcode never leaves your device. If you lose both the passcode and the recovery code, nobody can unlock the copy in your account, including us. Keep a backup file (More › Desk file › Save) as your own backup.

The desk locks itself after 15 minutes without you. Easy passcodes such as 111111 or 123456 are refused.

    Statements and plan PDFs

Files you drop on Set up are read inside your browser. The PDF itself is never uploaded anywhere. Only the positions it lists are kept, inside the encrypted desk.

    What we can see

Your email, and a daily count of how many times the desk was opened, a refill was recorded or this month’s numbers were saved, with the app version. That is what lets your coach know the desk is being used. Balances, holdings and plan details are never visible to us.

    Your coach

Your coach cannot look into your desk. Sharing is always your move: Download plan prints a two-page plan you can hand to anyone you choose, or you save a backup file and send it however you like.

Privacy view (the eye button in the top bar) hides names, dollar amounts and share counts for screen-shares and public places. It changes only what is drawn on screen; your backup file and the encrypted copy in your account are never altered by it.

    Nothing else

No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no third-party scripts. The page is allowed to talk to exactly one address, the account service, and the browser enforces that rule. Fonts and the PDF reader are served from the desk itself.

    Deleting

Start over (Settings › This device) erases the desk and the copy in your account. Erase (also under This device) clears one device and keeps the account copy. To close your account entirely, email your coach and it is removed along with everything stored under it.

    Questions

Write to your coach at Corso Wealth Coaching LLC. This page describes the desk as built; it changes when the desk does, and the version is shown under How this works.

    Try an example

    Three made-up households.

Click around, run a refill, print a plan. Your own desk is set aside untouched and comes back when you press "Back to my desk". Nothing from an example is saved to your account.

    Set up

    Enter your plan.

If you have an Income Lab report, these numbers are on it. You can change them later from Set up.

    Household
The amount deposited to checking each month.
    This year’s withdrawals

How much the plan takes from each kind of account this year. Leave a line at 0 if it does not apply.

    Include any required minimum distribution.
    Guardrails optional

The portfolio balances at which your plan raises or lowers the paycheck. Leave blank if your plan does not use them.

    Taxes

Used to estimate the tax on sales and to stay under the next bracket or Medicare tier.

Line 15 of last year’s Form 1040 is a reasonable estimate.
If yes, the desk also watches the IRMAA income limit.

    Getting the right file

    The cost basis download.

      Type it in

      Holdings.

Faster: copy the positions table from your brokerage's website and paste it anywhere here. The rows fill in.

      How this works

      Four lines.

Your paycheck is paid from a cash reserve.

Once a month, type two numbers from your statements.

When the reserve runs low, Refill tells you exactly what to sell.

Download the plan and share it with your coach before you trade.

An educational planning aid from Corso Wealth Coaching LLC, not tax advice. Tax figures are estimates for deciding what to sell, not for filing. Confirm shares and cost with your brokerage and check any plan with your tax professional before trading.
